Early Career Mentors

At Danes Educational Trust and through the Bucks Hub Partnership, we deeply value the vital role our Mentors play in supporting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and trainees. Your one-to-one support, feedback, and coaching are central to ensuring a high-quality induction experience for each ECT over the course of their two-year programme. As part of this commitment, new Mentors participate in a two-year training programme delivered by the Ambition Institute, designed to develop a thorough understanding of the Early Career Framework (ECF) and its practical application.

• If you have already completed Year 1 of Early Career Mentor (ECM) training, you do not need to repeat it. You will instead move on to the ECM Year 2 training programme.

• The dates for the Year 1 ECM core and compulsory training can be found below.

Important – Planning Ahead:
When setting up your diary at the start of the academic year, if you know in advance that you will be unable to attend a compulsory session (e.g. due to a Parents’ Evening), please notify Claire Todd at ctodd@danesedtrust.org.uk no later than Monday 15 September 2025
