Early Career Mentors (Year 1)

At Danes Educational Trust and the Bucks Hub Partnership, we recognise that Mentors are the cornerstone of our professional community. Your dedicated one-to-one support, constructive feedback, and expert coaching are what make a high-quality induction possible.

To support you in this vital role, all new Mentors engage in a two-year training programme facilitated by the Ambition Institute. This programme is specifically designed to deepen your understanding of the Early Career Framework (ECF) and refine your ability to apply it effectively in a mentoring context.

Your Training Pathway

Your placement in the programme depends on your prior experience:

• New Mentors: You will begin the comprehensive Year 1 Early Career Mentor (ECM) curriculum.

• The dates for the Year 1 ECM core and compulsory training can be found below.

Important – Planning Ahead:
When setting up your diary at the start of the academic year, if you know in advance that you will be unable to attend a compulsory session (e.g. due to a Parents’ Evening), please notify Claire Todd at ctodd@danesedtrust.org.uk no later than Monday 14 September 2026
