Early Career Mentors + 1 (Year 2)

At Danes Educational Trust and through the Bucks Hub Partnership, we recognise the vital role our Mentors play in providing one-to-one support, feedback, and coaching to our Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and trainees. As a Mentor, your role is to ensure that your ECT and/or ECT+1 receives a high-quality induction throughout their two-year programme. To support this, new Mentors engage in a two-year training programme delivered by the Ambition Institute. This programme is designed to ensure a full understanding of the Early Career Framework (ECF) and its practical implications in the classroom.
If you have already completed the full Early Career Mentor (ECM) training, you do not need to repeat Year 2.
Important – Planning Ahead:
When organising your calendar at the beginning of the academic year, if you are unable to attend a compulsory session (for example, due to a Parents' Evening), you must notify Claire Todd at ctodd@danesedtrust.org.uk by Monday 29 September 2025.
